Before You Submit Your Diagnostic Request
Duck Diagnostics provides professional remote appliance troubleshooting based on the information you submit. Please read the following carefully before continuing.
What You Are Purchasing
You are purchasing a remote diagnostic review, not an in-person repair service.
You will receive a short written report that includes:
- The most likely causes of the failure
- Recommended next steps
- Model-specific notes (when applicable)
- Things to watch for that may affect repair decisions
This is expert guidance based on the photos, videos, and information you provide.
Turnaround Time
Diagnostic reports are delivered within 48 hours of submission.
If your request is submitted on a Saturday, delivery may take up to 72 hours.
Turnaround times are calculated from the time your completed submission and payment are received.
Scope of Service
Duck Diagnostics:
- Does NOT perform sealed system refrigeration diagnostics
- Will decline and issue a full refund if proper diagnosis would require actions that could create a gas leak
- Does NOT replace in-person licensed service
Electrical testing may be recommended in some cases. You are never required to perform any test.
Do not perform any testing or repair that:
- You are uncomfortable performing
- You are not experienced in safely performing
- Requires skills, tools, or licensing you do not possess
If at any point you are unsure, stop and contact a qualified local professional.
Assumption of Responsibility
You acknowledge that:
- All repairs and testing are performed at your own discretion
- You assume full responsibility for any actions taken based on the diagnostic report
- Duck Diagnostics is not liable for injury, property damage, or further appliance damage resulting from repairs or testing
- This service provides professional guidance only and is not a substitute for licensed, in-person inspection or service.
Ongoing Support
You may ask follow-up questions and continue communication regarding this diagnostic for up to 2 weeks from the time your report is sent.
After two weeks, the diagnostic ticket will be closed.
Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied with your diagnostic, you may request a full refund within 2 weeks of receiving your report.
Refunds are not automatic — they must be requested within the 2-week window.
Media Usage Permission
By submitting photos or videos, you grant Duck Diagnostics permission to use anonymized portions of your submission for:
- Training
- Educational purposes
- Marketing
“Anonymized” means no identifying information (name, address, contact information, or clear facial images) will be shared. Your voice may be used if included in the video.
Agreement
By proceeding, you acknowledge that you:
- Have read and understood these terms
- Accept the scope and limitations of this service
- Assume responsibility for any repair decisions
- Agree to the refund and communication policies above
